My Mom and I would spend our weekends plotting out our adventures based on our stomachs. I kid you not... we would literally pick our food destinations first and plan around them. My favorite place was eating at La Ronde (the revolving restaurant at the top of the Ala Moana Building), not only because it was a revolving restaurant, but it was my first taste of truly good food, great company and the start of "mother/daughter" days.
Mother/Daughter days were just that... days spent with just one another. Doing the things that we loved... eating, talking, shopping, eating, talking... you get the picture. We carried on "mother/daughter" days til her passing in 2007 and it's a tradition I sorely miss. I miss spending time with her. And to be honest I truly miss all the food and conversations, things that I haven't found with anyone else.
So I guess that's what this blog will be about. My love of food... the places that I go to eat, why I love the food there (or not) and to honor my Mom. In a way I'll be writing to her... conversing with her about our shared love of food. I miss you Mom.
